Abstract:An acidic environment in bone is essential for bone metabolism and the production of decarboxylated osteocalcin, which functions as a regulatory hormone of glucose metabolism. Here, we describe the high‐resolution X‐ray crystal structure of decarboxylated osteocalcin under acidic conditions.
