Structural and Morphological Characteristics of Hybrid Nanomaterials Type Ascorbic Acid-hydrotalcite Used for Stimulating Salivary Secretion

Abstract: A new hybrid nanomaterial type vitamin C/ZnAl-hydrotalcite, acting as drug delivery system for ascorbic acid, was developed in order to use it for stimulating salivary secretion. The synthesis of this nanomaterial was achieved using a simple coprecipitation method for intercalation of ascorbate anions in the ZnAl-hydrotalcite gallery. The stability of vitamin C was significantly increased after its incorporation into the interlayer space. Structural and morphological characterization techniques revealed an alt… Show more

“…As we have exemplified in this case a patient with mental disorders, joint damage, rheumatism, hypertension, which occurred after the related medication in the sphere of psychiatric stomatognathic rehabilitation (Checherita et al, 2017;Cristache et al, 2019;Morley, 2002;Radulescu et al, 2020;Tatarciuc & Panaite, 2001;Zegan et al, 2017a;Zegan et al, 2017b;Zegan et al, 2018;Zegan et al, 2019), having a dissatisfaction due to the impossibility of achieving functionality but also aesthetics at stomatognathic level.…”

“…Also enamel remineralization changes were evaluated in 32 teeth with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) [19]. A study which analised demineralized enamel led to a significantly lower margin integrity when the self-etch adhesive I Bond Self Etch was applied, but did not affect margin integrity when the etch-and-rinse adhesives Optibond FL (filled) or Syntac Classic (unfilled) were used [20].…”

“…The nuances of composite resins influences polymerization but also clinical evaluation after application. A darker / opaque shade will result in a diminution of light beam penetration and cohesiveness of the material, inhibiting polymerization in deep layers, persistence of unreacted monomer, and impairment of mechanical properties [17,18]. Also, the darker / opaque shades does not allow the surface to be evaluated under seal.…”
