“…The gene cut5a from the mesophilic fungus F. oxysporum, encoding the respective cutinase, had already been expressed in a soluble form in E. coli BL21 cells [14]. Although the recombinant enzyme was active, it exhibited very low tolerance in temperature, losing most of its activity after 2 h incubation at 35 ο C.
