Structural Analysis of the Motivation-Evaluating Rating Scale for Chronic Schizophrenics

Abstract

There is an attempt to structurate a general framework of motivations according to the motivation-evaluating rating scale. The purpose is to achieve visual diagnostic models in a first instance for chronic schizophrenics, secondly for different groups of patients. The analysis is done by using the approach of Guttman, and endeavours to supply a psychodynamical explanation of the different motivational levels.
