“…The protonic conductivity of BCZY film in moist air was 0.83 × 10 −3 S/cm at 400 • C synthesized by spray pyrolysis deposition mechanism [36]. The increase in conductivity due to Sr incorporation may be also due to elimination of CeO 2 -like or ZrCeYO 2 -like second phase, which is consistent with FTIR and Raman measurements [42]. Among the five samples, the composition with Sr content 0.2 exhibited highest conductivity, which is in agreement with the reported values.…”

“…Other Ba 1Àx Sr x Ce 0.60 Zr 0.20 Y 0.20 O 3Àd proton conducting oxides have been prepared by citrate e EDTA complexing method at 1600 C for 4 h in air. It shows cubic phase along with secondary phases {e.g., CeO 2 , ZrO 2 and/or (Ce,Zr,Y)O 2 }.The lattice parameter decreases with strontium content [42]. Some of the results on BaCe x Zr y Y z O 3Àd fuel cell electrolytes of different compositions have been widely reported in literatures ( [43] and references therein).…”

“…A report on substitution of Sr for Ba in Ba 1− x Sr x Ce 0.6 Zr 0.2 Y 0.2 O 3− δ ( x = 0.0–1.0) shows that a higher conductivity was achieved by Ba 1− x Sr x Ce 0.6 Zr 0.2 Y 0.2 O 3− δ ( x = 0.3) than by Ba 1− x Sr x Ce 0.6 Zr 0.2 Y 0.2 O 3− δ ( x = 0.0), indicating that the small amount of Sr can enhance conductivity.
