Strong hydrophilic monolithic column functionalized with amphiphilic benzyl quinine for capillary electrochromatography and application in pharmaceutical analysis

“…A polyhedral oligomeric siloxane‐based zwitterionic monolithic capillary column was prepared via one‐pot polymerization in ionic liquid porogen, using N , N‐ dimethyl‐ N‐ methacryloxyethyl‐ N‐ (3‐sulfopropyl)ammonium betaine and methacrylic ethyl trimethylammonium chloride as binary functional monomers, and methacryl substituted polyhedral oligomeric siloxane as cross‐linker [31]. A strong hydrophilic monolithic column of poly( N‐ benzylquininium chloride‐co‐1,3,5‐triacryloylhexahydro‐1,3,5‐triazine) has been successfully synthesized through in situ copolymerization for CEC [32]. The monolithic column displayed a hydrophilic retention mechanism with a mobile phase containing more than 60% organic solvent.…”
