Strong Down-Conversion Emission of Sm<sup>3+</sup> Doped Borotellurite Glass under 480 nm Excitation Wavelength

Abstract: Tellurite glasses were generally applied in rare earth optical materials due to their excellent in physical and chemical properties. In this study, tellurite glasses composed of (70-x)TeO2-20B2O3-10ZnO-xSm2O3 (x = 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 mol %) were prepared by conventional melt-quenching technique.
