Strong decays of the newly observedD(2550),D(2600),D

Abstract: The strong decay properties of the newly observed D(2550), D(2600), D(2750) and D(2760) are studied in a constituent quark model. It is predicted that the D(2760) and D(2750) seem to be two overlapping resonances. The D(2760) could be identified as the 1 3 D3 with J P = 3 − , while the D(2750) is most likely to be the high-mass mixed state |1D2 ′ H (J P = 2 − ) via the 1 1 D2-1 3 D2 mixing. The D(2600) favors the low-mass mixed state |(SD)1 L (J P = 1 − ) via the 1 3 D1-2 3 S1 mixing. The D(2550) as the 2 1 S0… Show more

“…Theoretical analyses indicate that Dð2550Þ 0 is a good candidate for 2 1 S 0 though the predicted narrow width of 2 1 S 0 is inconsistent with the observation [19][20][21]. D Ã ð2600Þ 0 is interpreted as a mixing state of 2 3 S 1 and 1 3 D 1 [19,20].…”

“…In Ref. [10], Zhong studies the strong decays of the Dð2550Þ, Dð2600Þ, and Dð2760Þ in a chiral quark model and identifies the Dð2760Þ as the 1 3 D 3 state and the Dð2600Þ as the low-mass mixing state of the 1 3 D 1 À 2 3 S 1 states.…”

“…In present work we will attempt to understand the inner structure of this newly observed state Ωð2012Þ by analyzing the strong decay properties of its possible candidates within a chiral quark model, so that our theoretical widths can be compared with the measured width directly. The chiral quark model [24] is developed and successfully used to study the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka (OZI) allowed two-body strong decays of the heavy-light mesons [25][26][27][28] and baryons [29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36]. In this framework, the spatial wave functions of heavy baryons are described by harmonic oscillators, and an effective chiral Lagrangian is then introduced to account for the quark-meson coupling at the baryon-meson interaction vertex.…”
