Strong antiferromagnetic exchange between manganese phthalocyanine and ferromagnetic europium oxide

Abstract: We report on the antiferromagnetic exchange coupling between a submonolayer of Mn(II)-phthalocyanine molecules and a ferromagnetic Eu(II)-oxide thin film. The exchange energy is larger by nearly two orders of magnitude compared to previous studies involving oxidic substrates.
