Strict Erdős-Ko-Rado for simplicial complexes

Abstract

We show that the strict Erd\H{o}s-Ko-Rado property holds for sequentially Cohen-Macaulay near-cones. In particular, this implies that chordal graphs with at least one isolated vertex satisfy the strict Erd\H{o}s-Ko-Rado property.
