Stress, anxiety, depression and basic hope in family members of patients hospitalised in intensive care units – preliminary report

Abstract: Background:The family response to intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalisation includes development of adverse psychological outcomes such as stress, anxiety or depression. These complications from exposure to critical care are termed post-intensive care syndrome-family (PICS-f ).
