Streptomyces yangpuensis sp. nov., isolated from soil

Abstract: A novel Gram-stain-positive strain with sandy aerial mycelium and golden yellow substrate mycelium, designated fd2-tb T , was isolated from a soil sample collected in Shanghai, China, and its taxonomic status was established by phylogenetic analysis. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis showed that strain fd2-tb T belonged to the genus Streptomyces and was related to Streptomyces amritsarensis JCM 19660 T (99.9 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity), Streptomyces flavotricini NBRC 12770 T (99.9 %), Streptomyces polyc… Show more
