Abstract: Filamentous actinomycetes, designated SL13 and SL54T, were isolated from pine litter and their taxonomic status resolved using a polyphasic approach. The isolates exhibit chemotaxonomic and morphological properties consistent with their classification in the family Streptomycetaceae .
