Abstract: This study aims at examining the agreement level between clinical diagnoses by a senior psychologist in the hospital and diagnoses/screening on Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire conducted by parents. Using ICD 10 (Indonesian version) as the gold standard, a clinical child psychologist diagnosed 253 male and female elementary school children aged 7-14 years old. “…Without the pro-social behavioral subscale, the SDQ-PR's overall optimal cutoff point of ≥ 17 can detect behavioral problems with a sensitivity of 70.96% and a speci city of 69.15%. The optimal cutoff scores for the subscales are ≥ 7 for hyperactive-inattentive problems, ≥ 4 for conduct, and ≥ 5 for emotional problems (22). In the current study setting, its internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha) for the scale was 0.79.…”

“…A 25-item 3-point Likert scale with a total score of 0-40 without a pro-social behavioral subscale 'Somewhat true' is always scored as 1, but the scoring of not True' and certainly True' varies with the item. Without the pro-social behavioral subscale, the overall optimum cutoff point ≥ 17 of the SDQ-PR has the ability to screen behavioral problems with sensitivity of 70.96% and speci city of 69.15%, and the optimum cutoff score for subscales is ≥ 7 for hyperactiveinattentive problems, ≥ 4 for conduct, and ≥ 5 for emotional problems (17). The SDQ-PR rating scale was pretested for reliability in our setup and was found to have internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha = 0.79).…”

“…Body mass index was calculated and classified into less, normal, and obese categories, based on the criteria of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia [14]. Assessment of behavioral difficulties was using the strengths and difficulties questionnaire (SDQ) published by the Directorate of Family Education Development, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia which has been validated [15]. The total SDQ score is categorized as normal conditions with a score of 0-15, border conditions with a score of 16-19, and abnormal conditions score 20-40.…”
