Les assemblages CtudiBs contiement des e s e c e s bien connues du Caradoc suptrieur et de 1'Ashgill mais aussi des espkces nouvelles telles Conochitina pygmaea et Hercochitina cristafa. La distribution stratigraphique et gkographique des microfossiles a permis de dCgager les BlBments qui posskdent une valeur stratigraphique. Les assemblages ainsi caracttrisBs permettent de faire le lien entre les assemblages plus jeunes de la sequence ashgillienne de l'lle d'Anticosti, anttrieurement dCcrit par l'auteur, et ceux plus vieux, dkcrits par Martin, dans le Caradoc des Basses-Terres du Saint-Laurent. Chitinozoans from samples of the Trenton, Utica, and Lorraine groups of the St. Lawrence Lowlands are described.The studied assemblages contain well-known upper Caradocian and Ashgillian species and also new species, such as Conochirina pygmaea and Hercochitina cristafa.The stratigraphic and geographic distribution of the microfossils allows identification of taxa with stratigraphic value. The assemblages so characterized also allow a link to be made between younger assemblages from the Ashgillian sequence of Anticosti Island, previously described by the author, and older ones described by Martin from Caradocian beds of the St. Lawrence Lowlands.
