Abstract: The acylation of flavonoids serves as a means to alter their physicochemical properties, enhance their stability, and improve their bioactivity. Compared with natural flavonoid glycosides, the acylation of nonglycosylated flavonoids presents greater challenges since they contain fewer reactive sites.
