Abstract:The article is devoted to studying the recommendations of the communicative behavior of French high society representatives at the end of the 19th century. The study is relied on the most famous works of Blanche Staff (1845-1911) where the guidance of good manners, applied to different situations of communication in the defined sections of society, was described.
