Abstract:In a blood purification technique continuous renal replacement therapy called CRRT , a porous hollow-fiber polymeric membrane is exposed to prolonged contact with blood. In that condition, like with any other submerged filtration membrane, hemofilter loses its properties over time and use which results in a rapid decline in flux.
