Strategic Fast Induction Heating to Combat Hysteresis Barriers in a Flexible MOF for Rapid CO2 Desorption in Biogas Upgrading (Small 29/2023)

Abstract: Mg-Gallate metal-organic framework (MOF) has large hysteresis in its CO 2 desorption isotherm, hindering efficient regeneration in adsorption swing processes. Utilizing combined induction heating and vacuum desorption under mild, energy-efficient conditions boost regeneration performance. A hybrid ferromagnetic Mg-Gallate extrudate material gets heated up rapidly via magnetic induction and swiftly releases adsorbed CO 2 molecules.
