Strategi Pengembangan Perencanaan dan Perancangan Rumah Tinggal Nelayan Sebagai Respon Terhadap Rob

Abstract

A house and its environment surrounding have a significant influence to life quality of people who live in it. The house existence must meet physical and spiritual needs. The house provides security, comfort, space for socialization and self-esteem as well as the actualization of the occupants. Tambak Lorok is a name of settlement within Semarang Municipality area. The settlement is known as a fishermen settlement. The Semarang Municipal government has program to develop Tambak Lorok into Kampung Bahari (Maritime village). However, Tambak Lorok has prime issues; there are tidal waves, rising sea water to land. Rob is from Javanese term for the high tide flooding the land. Rob has influenced the physical and non-physical conditions of the people in Tambak Lorok. So it is necessary to identify possible development strategies for Tambak Lorok settlement. This study aims to determine the development strategy from physical and non-physical aspects so that it is able to respond to environmental problems, namely rob. Research method is qualitative literature study for the environmental conditions of Tambak Lorok settlement. The analysis method is descriptive analysis which explains the environmental conditions of the settlement objectively, clearly and systematically. The results are recommendations for the preparation of planning and design development strategy for Tambak Lorok settlement.
