The intercultural aspect is an important component in Arabic language teaching in Indonesia. That is because intercultural understanding is the basis for learners to be able to communicate and interact in Arabic effectively and efficiently. This paper examines the importance of the role of intercultural knowledge and understanding in teaching Arabic as a foreign language for Indonesian learners. The aim of this paper is to form an intercultural understanding of the teaching of Arabic language as an intercultural understanding for Indonesian students. The method used in studying this research is the method of studying literature with a qualitative approach. Data collection is done by managing material from books, journals, research results, and newspapers. The method used in reviewing this research is a literature study. To find out the use of cultural aspects in teaching Arabic, as a foreign language, this study will discuss four al, namely: (1) The Role of Culture in Language (2) Intercultural Competence in Language Learning (3) Language Teacher, Cultural Teacher (4) Intercultural in Arabic Language Culture. The conclusion of this paper is the importance of intercultural understanding in shaping intercultural aspects in the learning of Arabic at the level of Indonesian students. His contribution is that the paper can be used as a basic reference to shape the intercultural aspect and become a fundamental reference in developing the intercultural aspect of the Arabic language in Indonesia especially for students.

Learning Arabic for non-native speakers has become an important topic in the era of globalization. Arabic has a very important role in the application and understanding of the Islamic religion, as well as understanding various scientific works and Arabic literature. Therefore, the urgency of effective and efficient learning methods for non-native speakers is very important. The development of research on Arabic language learning methods has progressed in the last few decades. Various methods and approaches have been developed to help non-native speakers effectively and easily. The methods used include information and communication technology, project-based learning, language games, and interactive multimedia. The importance of appropriate learning methods in learning Arabic lies in the method's ability to facilitate understanding and mastery of important aspects of the Arabic language, such as vocabulary, speaking skills, grammar, reading, listening and writing. In this abstract we will discuss the urgency of learning methods. in learning Arabic for non-native speakers, and the importance of using effective and efficient methods. For future researchers, they can develop their learning strategies and they can be regenerated to be more complete for further research. Researchers suggest that future research places more emphasis on implementation and focuses on increasing the achievement of the values and ultimate goals of good Arabic language learning.

Cooperative Learning Based on Word-Matching Game to Enhance Mastery of Arabic Vocabulary for Eighth-Grade MTs Students

The research addresses the necessity for developing and implementing more effective learning methods and media to enhance the mastery of Arabic vocabulary among school students. The research aims to apply and evaluate the effectiveness of cooperative learning through the word-matching game technique to enhance the mastery of Arabic vocabulary among grade VIII students. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two VIII classes in MTs Negeri 1 Bandung City, namely the control class (VIII B) and the experimental class (VIII E), each totaling 30 students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and tests to measure the enhancement of Arabic vocabulary mastery. The results showed that cooperative learning with word-matching game technique significantly enhanced students' vocabulary mastery compared to the conventional method. The experimental class showed significant enhancement with a normalized gain score of 56.55%, categorized as quite effective. In comparison, the control class only obtained a score of 30.50%, which is classified as ineffective. The scientific contribution of this research is to provide empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of game-based cooperative learning in enhancing Arabic vocabulary acquisition at the junior high school level. This research also enriches the literature on innovative learning methods in language education, especially Arabic. Future research suggests further studies exploring the application of this word-matching game technique at different educational levels and contexts and examining the long-term effects of using this technique. In addition, further research can consider other factors that can affect learning success, such as student motivation, parental involvement, and technological support in the learning process.
