Straight forward control of the matrix converter

Abstract

This paper proposes a new modulation strategy for the matrix converter. Only the instantaneous values of the input voltages, of the output currents and the wanted output voltages and wanted reactive input currents are needed to create the switching functionsincluding neutral function and common-mode termsfor obtaining the maximum control range.
