Stokiyometri Oranının İki Hücreli PEM Yakıt Hücresi Yığını Performansına Etkisinin İncelenmesi

Abstract: Two PEM fuel cells are constructed as a stack and effects of stoichiometric ratio values on stack performance are studied by numerically. Stoichiometric ratio values for fuel cell stack is investigated as an important operating parameter. Numerical studies are carried out for certain anode and cathode stoichiometric ratio values. Effect of stoichiometry ratio values on the performance of the stack compared by plotting polarization curves for each case. Highlights • Effects of stoichiometry • Analysis of PEM st… Show more

“…The energy need in the world is increasing day by day due to developing technology, increasing population and the search for continuous economic and industrial development (Cellek and Bilgili, 2021;Gonzatti and Farret, 2017;Hernández-Gómez et al, 2020). Today, the decrease in fossil energy sources such as oil and natural gas, which meet a large part of this need, and the increasing damage to the environment lead scientists to various alternative energy sources (Liu et al, 2023;Sadeghi et al, 2021;Wang et al, 2023).…”

“…Contrary to the harmful emissions resulting from the combustion of fossil fuels, only water is formed as a by-product as a result of the reactions occurring in fuel cells. For this reason, fuel cells are seen as an environmentally friendly power source (Cellek and Bilgili, 2021). In addition, these devices have advantages such as high efficiency, quiet operation, fuel flexibility and low maintenance requirements.…”

“…The results showed that the cell performance increases as the temperature value increases, the pressure does not have a great effect on the cell performance, however, the effect of temperature on performance is more apparent at high pressures. Cellek and Bilgili [ 12 ] conducted a numerical study to investigate the effect of stoichiometry ratio on fuel cell performance. For this purpose, numerical analyses were carried out for five different voltages and five different stoichiometry ratios in a two‐cell PEM fuel cell stack.…”
