Stochastic multiple‐criteria decision making with 2‐tuple aspirations: a method based on disappointment stochastic dominance

Abstract: Considering the disappointment aversion behavior of decision makers, we define three types of disappointment stochastic dominance rules and disappointment stochastic dominance degree between two stochastic variables. Then we prove some important properties of disappointment stochastic dominance. With respect to the stochastic multiple‐criteria decision‐making (SMCDM) problem with criterion 2‐tuple aspirations, a novel method based on disappointment stochastic dominance is proposed. To begin with, based on the … Show more

“…Based on the collected data, a sensitivity analysis was illustrated the required number of simulations for the required accuracy and performed an assessment of the results based on weighting of the respondents' perceived expertise. Liang et al [27] presented a new method based on disappointment SD with respect to the SMCDM problem with criterion 2-tuple aspirations. The overall disappointment SD each alternative degree over the aspiration alternative is calculated to determine the ranking result.…”

“…For example, if the Pareto solution corresponding to weight combination (0.35, 0.65) is selected, the corresponding best road-rail multimodal routes for the hazardous materials transportation are illustrated in Table 8. In practice, decision makers can adopt multiple criteria decision-making methods to select the most suitable Pareto solution in a more precise way [73,74]. Table 8.…”

“…The fuzzy evaluations, stochastic evaluations (Liang, Jiang, & Liu, 2018;Sun, Hrušovský, Zhang, & Lang, 2018) and probability linguistic evaluations are useful uncertainty evalua-tions in practical decision making (Ji, Zhang, & Wang, 2018;Luo, Zhang, Wang, & Li, 2019). As a useful format of uncertain evaluation, linguistic evaluations can represent qualitative information more accurate.…”
