“…The surface of the coated gold electrodes, obtained in the conventional way, was first analyzed by time-of-flight-secondary ion mass spectroscopy (TOF-SIMS) and ESCA. Further evidence for the formation of a self-assembled monolayer is provided by the in situ ellipsometric results and the detailed STM measurements (20)- (21).
