Abstract:The capacity of lymphocytes isolated from diffuse toxic goiter (DTG) tissue to stimulate the proliferation of normal thyrocytes isolated from paranodular tissue adjacent to nodular euthyroid goiter was studied. Normal and DTG thyrocytes were incubated for 24 h with fetal calf serum (FCS) in various concentrations, DTG orparanodular lymphocytes, or both FCS and lymphocytes. The proliferation rate of normal thyrocytes in the presence of FCS alone increased with increase of the serum concentration, while the prol… Show more
Peculiarities of phenotypic structure and factors of apoptosis induction (level of CD95-antigen cell expression, blood serum content of TNF-α ) of peripheral blood lymphocytes in patients with diffusive toxic goiter are discussed in thе article.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
