Abstract: Background: Eryptosis stimulated by anticancer drugs can lead to anemia in patients. β-caryophyllene oxide (CPO) is an anticancer sesquiterpene present in various plants; however, its effect on the structure and function of human red blood cells (RBCs) remains unexplored.
