Abstract:Stimulated Raman scattering of a laser pump in a carbon nanotube (CNT) embedded plasma is studied. The CNT response to the laser field is anisotropic and modifies the electrostatic and electromagnetic modes significantly. For Raman backscattering, the growth rate increases due to the presence of CNTs. The enhancement is strong when frequency of the pump or one of the decay waves is near the surface plasmon resonance. Exactly at the resonance, the phase matching condition is not satisfied. For the normalized la… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
