Steroids and Cardioplegia

Abstract: The influence of glucocorticoid supplementation to cardioplegic solutions is still open to debate. The isolated working rat heart model was used to test the efficacy of glucocorticoid (methylprednisolone sodium succinate (MPSS] supplementation to 2 clinical cardioplegic solutions.
