Steroids Abrogate BiTE® Antibody Construct-Mediated Cytotoxicity in Primary AML Cells

Abstract: Antibody based immunotherapy represents a promising strategy to eliminate chemoresistant cells in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Clinical experience in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) has shown a clear correlation of leukemic burden and the occurrence of a cytokine release syndrome (CRS) during treatment with blinatumomab (CD19/CD3 BiTE®).
