Drying structures using high-frequency electromagnetic radiation or microwave technology is currently gaining much more usage in the engineering practice. The goal of the method is the quickest elimination of water in construction (wall, floor structure, etc.). Microwave is a part of the electromagnetic radiation of frequency between 300 MHz and 300 GHz and wavelength between 1 mm and 1 m. The frequency of 2.45 GHz and 122 mm wavelength is used for engineering practice. Due to the effect of microwave radiation the divergent homogeneity of temperature field of different building materials can be observed.This article discusses the spread of thermal field depending on the volume of water and thereby the size of mass humidity of the given material (timber). The temperature fields will be observed by a thermo camera, always after a certain time cycles of the heating.

Microwave heating technology has been widely used in both domestic and industrial applications. Temperature control technique is significant in improving the performance of microwave heating. A generalized numerical thermodynamics model associating with the temperature-dependent thermal and physical properties of material for the microwave heating process is proposed in this paper. Experimental data is applied to estimate the microwave power coefficients. Two controllers, sliding mode controller (SMC) and proportional-integral-differential (PID) controller, are presented as the easily implementable and efficient on-line controllers to track the desired temperature profile while acting on the microwave power and the heated material's temperature. The effectiveness of the proposed thermodynamics numerical model is verified by simulations and experiments, which shows that SMC controller has better dynamic control performance than PID controller.

The aim of this paper is firstly to describe the design and implementation of a dual-closed loop control technology for microwave heating system. A fast feedback control strategy was proposed for the microwave power density control loop. Moreover, a bang-bang control strategy and a velocity form of PID algorithm were utilized for the sample temperature control loop. Further, several experimentations were carried out, experiment results show that the output microwave power is reasonable exact to the set point, and the PID algorithm resulted in the best sample temperature control compared to the bang-bang strategy.
