Sterhl ratio of vortex beams propagating through atmospheric turbulence

Abstract: Abstract. Based on the extended Huygens-Fresnel principle, the analytical expressions for the Strehl ratio(S R ) of Gaussian Schell-model(GSM) vortex beams and Gaussian Schell-model non-vortex beams propagating through atmospheric turbulence and free space are derived. The corresponding results are also calculated.
