Abstract:Background. Carotid artery restenosis is a rare complication of carotid stenting. The Carotid Revascularization Endarterectomy versus Stenting Trial (CREST) reveals an in-stent restenosis rate of 0–6 %, a fairly low value given an extensive study sampling of patients.
