Abstract:This paper investigates the steady-state characteristics of 3-phase cage induction machines that use two series-connected and one isolated (TSCAOI) phase winding configuration to generate single phase electricity. In this configuration, one phase-winding excites the machine while the remaining two in series generate electricity at constant frequency under varying rotor speeds. The steady-state model, which is derived using symmetrical components, provides a clear insight into the behavior of the generator in T… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
