Abstract:Atotalof410treespeciesunder66familiesareconservedattheBotanicGarden,BangladeshAgriculturalUniversity, whichisabout40%ofthetotaltreegeneticresourcesofBangladesh.AccordingtoIUCNRedListCategoriesand Criteria(Version3.0)amongtheconservedtreespecies,190speciesarecategorizedasnotevaluated(NE),10as data deficient (DD), 125 as least concern (LC), 25 near threatened (NT), 59 threatened and 1 extinct from wild (EW).Thesecollectionscouldbeusedasasourceofmaterialsforbothspeciesandhabitatrestorationprogrammes.
