Statistical analysis of mechanical damage in nanopillar arrays with mixed-mode load transfer

Abstract: Abstract. In the framework of the Fibre Bundle Model we explore the effect of mixed--mode load transfer in two-dimensional arrays of nanopillars. The mixed-mode load redistribution scheme serves as an interpolation between limiting cases, namely global and local transfer.
