RESUMO ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to analyse the game practiced in the side-out Men's Volleyball Superliga 2014/2015. The sample was composed by 12 teams and it was analyzed 142 games, totaling 19,545 reception, setting and attack actions. The results showed the association between the effect of reception and attack location; effect of reception and attack time; effect of reception and attack effect; effect of attack location and attack time; effect of attack location and effect attack and effect of attack time and attack effect. Summarazing, in the high level Brazilian Men's Volleyball, the reception quality influences the attack organization, the determation of setting location and the game strategy. Besides that, the attack score was the most frequent on the game analisys, with higher indices of attack from position 3. Keywords: Game analysis. Volleyball. Side-out. IntroduçãoA análise do jogo assume um importante papel no desenvolvimento de diversas modalidades esportivas coletivas, apresentando-se como um fator determinante na escolha de indicadores pertinentes acerca da prestação dos jogadores em contextos específicos 1 . Além disso, tem como finalidade preparar a equipe para o confronto com o adversário, melhorar a qualidade de treinamento e analisar a estrutura do jogo 2 . No Voleibol, a análise de jogo, no que diz respeito aos efeitos dos procedimentos que o constituem (saque, recepção, levantamento, ataque, bloqueio e defesa), não é recente. O jogo é caracterizado por dois complexos: o complexo I (KI) ou side-out que consiste na sequência de ações formada pela recepção, levantamento e ataque e o Complexo II (KII) ou transição, que é determinado pela sequência de ações formada pelo saque, bloqueio, defesa e contra-ataque 3 . Ao comparar os complexos de jogo, observa-se que o side-out é o complexo de jogo que mais pontua 4 e permite o ataque efetivo logo após a recepção ao serviço do adversário 5 .

Abstract AbstractThe aim of the present study was to investigate the serving techniques in male top level volleyball, especially the tactical and spatial behavior of the servers and receiving opponents focusing on the pros and cons of the different serving techniques. An analysis was made of 4552 serves from 28 matches played during the 2008-2009 regular season of the Italian volleyball male Top League. Serving techniques were categorized into Jump Serve (JS), Float Jump Serve (FJS) and Float Serve (FS), and for each serve several parameters were recorded: role of the server (Setter -S, Hitter -H, and Middle Blocker -MB), kind of serve (JS, FJS, FS), number of players defending the serve (Defense), difficulty in receiving the serve (RS), evaluation of serve outcome (EV), and defensive court zone where the ball was directed (FZ). The results confirmed the largest use of the JS (69.9%), followed by the FJS (26.9%) and the FS (3.3%). There were significant relationships between the serve technique, the EV, the Defense and the FZ where the serves were directed (Chi-Square p = 0.000). The zone absolutely most hit was the posterior/central, followed by the left/posteriors. There were significant differences in the RS difficulty for the JS respect to FJS (p = 0.001) and FS (p = 0.000) and also for the defensive strategies performed: a defense strategy with 2 defenders showed significant and better score during the reception respect to that with 3 (p = 0.000). No statistical relationship was found between the role of the server and other parameters. These results are consistent with previous studies in which JS showed to be the most powerful technique in terms of increasing defensive difficulties but, at the sam e time, with a fairly high percentage of errors. This issue must be taken into consideration in crucial phases of the game, and the serving techniques must be used strategically. JS can be very useful for increasing the defensive "conflict zones" with the aim to score a direct ace or to make the offensive maneuver difficult after reception. FJS can be useful when there is the need to aim a specific FZ and prepare the team for the next defense action. Scouting or match analysis procedure of the serving statistics should be performed during the gam e to better indicate the serve strategy to choose. Problem Statement: In volleyball, the ball is constantly fast and often the single game action cannot be understand due to the motor response that are very quick. The focus is always the time occurs between the stimulation, including the feedbacks and the chosen skills to play well. In this case it studies the relationship between the reaction time and tactical choices of the central blockers with the help of bodily communication. The tactical choices are two: Read block or option block. It calls read block when the block volleyball player jumps to block the spike in the middle of net in the first time after the decode of the kind of the setting by the setter. It calls option block when the blocker jumps to block the spike in the middle of net in the first time before the setter touches the ball to set it likely at the central hitter in the middle of the net. Approach: The method is descriptive research throughout performance analysis model. It utilizes the descriptive statistical model on a sample of 26 consecutive matches during a championship of the same team. Results and Conclusions: The data show the association between two tactical different choices of the jump of block role player: Option choice and read one. Both option choice and read choice are associated to the second ball going to the opposite court after the setter touches the ball in a medium range time. In conclusion it appears the possible inference and influence of the kind and time touches of the ball by the setter and so the effects of bodily communication by read choice and option one.
