Static tension test and the finite element analysis of constant resistance and large deformation anchor cable

Abstract: Compared to the traditional anchor cable, the constant resistance and large deformation anchor cable (constant resistance and large deformation anchor cable) has good applications in many fields of geotechnical engineering. Through the indoor static tension test, this study reveals the variation law of constant resistance, axial strain, the outer diameter of the sleeve, and the thermal effect of constant resistance and large deformation anchor cables during static tension. The ANSYS software was used for the f… Show more

“…Quasidistributed FBG sensor technology mainly encapsulated the fiber Bragg grating strain gauge into a variety of different types of fiber Bragg grating sensors, which were arranged and installed on the object under testing, to realize the various deformation parameter measurements of this object under testing. [28][29][30]. The corresponding structure is presented in Figure 2(a).…”

“…A novel energyabsorbing bolt, known as a constant resistance and large deformation (CRLD) bolt [22][23][24][25][26], is adopted for this monitoring project. e bolt has a compound structure, consisting of a cone-like piston that slides inside an elastically-deformable sleeve pipe ( Figure 4).…”

“…As a kind of extensible cable with composite structure, the used CRLD cable mainly consists of a rod body, constant-resistance body, constant-resistance sleeve pipe, pallet, and tightening nut (see Figure 1). Both constant-resistance body and sleeve pipe constitute the constant resistance device, which can provide constant supporting resistance for the cable (Tao et al 2018c(Tao et al , 2019.…”
