State‐of‐art design aspects of wearable, mobile, and flexible antennas for modern communication wireless systems

Abstract: Summary In this present contemporary epoch, wireless communication appliances exemplified meteoric progression in technology. These systems entail an antenna in every strand of communication. Depending upon the recent expansions in generations, the antennas become more compact, lightweight, portable, wearable, cost‐effective, and conformal while maintaining essential performance characteristics like impedance bandwidth, efficiency, gain, SAR, etc. This review is envisioned to unveil state‐of‐art in conventiona… Show more

“…Effects of the human body on portable Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna parameters like Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC), Mean Effective Gain (MEG) and channel capacity are to be considered in the design. For MIMO antenna systems, the required isolation between antenna elements is required to be more than 15 dB, the Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC) to be less than 0.05 and diversity gain to be less than 10 dB [138].…”

“…These new challenges and opportunities undoubtedly contribute to antenna technology’s expansion. There are many different antenna designs, such as metallic [ 6 ], horn [ 7 ], lens [ 8 ], metamaterial [ 9 , 10 , 11 ], on-chip [ 12 ], dielectric [ 13 , 14 ], and leaky-wave antenna [ 15 , 16 ], photoconductive [ 17 ], yagi antenna [ 18 ], log periodic antenna [ 19 ], cuboidal [ 20 ], and slotted antenna [ 21 ], that were described in literature. For these antennas to perform their intended role, they must have a bigger physical footprint and a more involved design process.…”

“…e resources of the course are also divided into several resource fragments according to the knowledge points of the chapters. Different teachers share different teaching resources [17][18][19][20]. In the construction of teaching resources in schools, teachers divide labor and cooperate, and teachers undertake the responsibility of resource construction.…”
