State estimation of electric power system for new technological systems

Abstract: The paper presents the software package (SP) for solving the on-line state estimation (SE) problem. The problems solved in the SP, algorithms for their solution based on test equations and technical characteristics of the SP are listed. Considered are the up-to-date technological system for data acquisition and electric power system control (SCADAIEMS), configuration of its hardware, used in a number of electric power systems@PS) of Russia. Besides some integration aspects of the SE software package into this … Show more

“…Moreover, these measurements often have errors and gross errors. To improve the accuracy of measurements and calculations of unmeasured parameters the researchers use the methods of state estimation (Grishin et al, 1999). State estimation (SE) is an important procedure providing reliable high-quality information for the EPS control.…”

“…SCADA systems are developed to monitor and estimate the current operation state [9], collect, analyze, and diagnose fault alarms [10], as well as use redundant techniques to provide fault tolerance [11] for underlying physical systems. However, most existing SCADA systems themselves become a point of vulnerability when they evolve into a cyber environment.…”
