The introduction of sustainable development goals has made sustainability a top priority for most nations. This has raised the investment into the educational system for potential growth and for creating an innovation culture in any country; the role of institutional investors in the development of financing clean energy infrastructure, entrepreneurial development, poverty reduction, and driving corporate social responsibility and firm development has been found significant. An intensive literature search of Scopus and the web of science database was explored with different relevant sets of keywords “Institutional investors AND Education”, “Institutional investors” AND “Higher education”, which drew 29 final articles between 2010–2021. This scoping review draws a new open approach for creating alternative sustainable funding for the higher education system and investment opportunities for institutional investors with government intervention. This research becomes the first that shows the road map to the higher education system in creating alternative funding through the proposed Institutional Investor & Sustainable University Funding Governance Code, which will make the higher education system independent and ease the burden on the government, as well as create a huge market opportunity for both players. This research model will scope the collaborative approach towards sustainable development goal 4—Quality education.

The phenomenon of globalization, which gained momentum after the 1980s, became widespread in all parts of the society and research of working life has become a normal situation. The phenomenon of globalization has been included in the socio-economic structure of the society through internet networks. It is considered necessary for individuals to turn into an online business structure that emerges through digital platforms in order to continue their lives, to maintain welfare and peace. Thus, an increase in the trends of research on the structure of working life in terms of social sustainability in the changing world order has been observed. The aim of the study is to obtain a holistic perspective in the multidimensional areas of the Gig economy, which is the counterpart of the online working platform. For this purpose, all data (820/732) obtained from the Web of Science database specific to the gig economy were included in the research. Multiple data were analyzed using the CiteSpace application. Trends in the Gig economy within the framework of social network theory, analysis in the context of the country, author analysis, cluster analysis and representative document analysis are presented. In this context, it is important to be able to make scientometric analyzes within the scope of the literature on the gig economy in order to obtain systematic findings for future research on the current labor market. With the research, literature trends, country analyzes and relationship networks, author productivity and the interpretative equivalent of keywords in the literature are revealed. According to the analysis findings; For the gig economy phenomenon, researches have been carried out in different fields in the socio-economic structure, and it can be stated that the studies may increase cumulatively in the future in terms of its social importance and prevalence.

Start-ups are one of the driving forces of growth and development for developed economies, although emerging economies are now striving to encourage start-ups for the advancement of the country with the support of the startup ecosystem. However, 90 percent of the start-ups failed within a year of their establishment. This study focuses on the factor affecting the sustainability of start-ups, and it is based on primary data collected from 384 start-ups in India. This empirical study analyzed, whether factors such as government support, market orientation, and technology orientation, affected the sustainability of the start-ups by using entrepreneurial satisfaction and performance of the start-ups as the mediators. Correspondingly, the study analyzes the mediation effect of entrepreneurial satisfaction between performance and startup sustainability. The results conveyed that government support, and technology affected startup business sustainability by fostering startup enterprise performance and entrepreneurial satisfaction, while market orientation does not mediate business sustainability using startup enterprise performance as the mediator, and technology orientation affected startup business sustainability with entrepreneurial satisfaction as the mediator.
