Under certain experimental conditions it is necessary to explain the measurements by assumption of several groups of electrons independent of each other. For such a case the population densities and degress of ionization have been calculated for a steady-state hydrogen plasma from the coupled system of rate equations. It has been assumed that two independent groups of electrons are present having the density n, and n:. Further it is assumed that their distribution functions are Maxwellian, so that these groups can be described by temperatures T, and T:. The calculated population densities and ionization degrees are presented graphically as function of n:, n,, T, and Tf.
