Abstract: Staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS) is a clinical term used for a spectrum of blistering skin conditions induced by the epidermolytic toxins of the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The complications of SSSS include thrombosis; however, the pathophysiology of this is still poorly understood.
