Abstract

This book is the result of long years of cooperation between many people, as well as the culmination of a series of enterprises (conferences, exhibitions, special issues, and several individual articles in academic periodicals) centered around the international research project Staged Otherness: Human Oddities in Central Europe, 1850Europe, -1939 Each stage of the project involved the active cooperation of many individuals, whose goodwill and assistance ultimately made the enterprise successful.
