“…The Ni-N (triazine) bond lengths in two tptz moieties, smaller than the Ni-N (pyridyl) bond lengths (Table 2), compared well with the reported Ni-N distances for Ni complexes [3,39,40,54]. In complex (2) there is a CH 3 CN solvent molecule and two PF 6 -counter ions. The P-F bond lengths range from 1.599(4) to 1.611(4) Å with an average length of 1.603(4) Å .…”

“…The two tptz moieties are coplanar with the two uncoordinated pyridyl rings twisted with respect to the central triazine rings. The lattice structure is stabilized by a network of weak hydrogen bonds between pyridyl rings of the tptz and the F atoms of the PF 6 -anions, with an average C-HÁÁÁF distances of 2.3 Å , and N atom of the CH 3 CN molecule with the closest NÁÁÁH distance of 2.7 Å that can be considered meaning full interactions. Due to the presence of PF 6 -counter ions located between neighboring complex cations, the triazine and/or pyridyl rings in each cation cannot interact in a p-p fashion as shown in Fig.…”

“…The rhodium centre is further surrounded by the two 1,10-phenanthroline ligands and the sixth coordination site is taken up by a pyridine ring of the bpt ligand. Two disordered PF 6 Ϫ counterions [13,14] The Xray structure of a ruthenium(II) complex with the ligand Hbpt has also been reported. [15] The NMR spectrum shown in Figure 2 clearly indicates the presence of only one species, indicative of the absence of linkage isomers.…”
