“…This result indicates that there are abundant O vacancies in the CoO x NPs/BNG hybrid after NH 3 treatment. Additionally, the high‐resolution B 1s spectrum (Figure c) shows a peak at 192.0 eV that corresponds to C−B−N bonds, indicating replacement of C atoms by B atoms in the vicinity of N atoms . In the N regions, except for the existence of features associated with pyridinic‐N and pyrrolic‐N, a characteristic peak with a 397.6 eV binding energy is observed that is attributed to metal−nitrogen bonds (Figure d) .…”

“…Additionally,t he high-resolution B1ss pectrum (Figure 2c)s hows ap eak at 192.0 eV that corresponds to C À B À Nb onds, indicating replacement of Catoms by Batoms in the vicinity of Na toms. [17] In the Nr egions,e xcept for the existence of features associated with pyridinic-N and pyrrolic-N,acharacteristic peak with a397.6 eV binding energy is observed that is attributed to metal À nitrogen bonds (Figure 2d). [18] This result suggests that there are many Co À Nb onds in the CoO x NPs/ BNG hybrid.…”

“…The Fe 2p spectrum (Figure c) exhibited a doublet of 2p 3/2 (712.2 eV) and 2p 1/2 (726.7 eV) states that were separated by 14.5 eV, which manifested the formation of Fe(OH) 3 . , The binding energy of Fe 2p 3/2 and 2p 1/2 of NiZnFeB-LDH positively shifted 0.37 and 0.42 eV as compared with NiFeB-OH, indicating that the doping of the Zn modulated the chemical environment of the iron ions . Besides that, the high-resolution B 1s spectrum displayed that the well-defined peak at 191.9 eV corresponded to a B–O band (Figure d), showing a negative shift of 0.25 eV in comparison with NiZnB-LDH and NiFeB-OH. , These results demonstrated that the electrons transferred from Fe, Zn, and Ni to B through oxygen bonds . The shifted peaks of prepared electrodes revealed the strong interactions among Ni, Zn, Fe, and B, which effectively improved the OER activity.…”
