“…The total volume of the reaction mixture was 20 μL with 10 μL of 2 ×SuperMix, 1.5 μL of each primer, 1 μL of cDNA template, and 6 μL of RNase-free water. The protocol program was as follows: 95 °C for 1 min, followed by 40 cycles of 95 °C for 20 s, 60 °C for 20 s, and 72 °C for 30 s. The reference gene was the elongation factor 1 alpha (EF1α) for S. frugiperda (Shu et al, 2020), and the experiment was performed for three technical replicates with three independent biological replicates. The 2 −ΔΔCt method (Livak and Schmittgen, 2001) was used for calculating the relative expression levels of target genes.…”
