Square‐Planar Coordinated Polyanions of Palladium, Platinum, and Gold Stannaborate [SnB₁₁H₁₁]^2‐ Coordination Chemistry.

Abstract

Platinum metalsPlatinum metals I 7700 Square-Planar Coordinated Polyanions of Palladium, Platinum, and Gold Stannaborate [SnB 11 H 11 ] 2-Coordination Chemistry. -Tetrastannoborates of Pt, Pd, and Au are synthesized and characterized by single crystal XRD, IR, Raman, and 11 B and 119Sn NMR spectroscopy. The stanna-closo-dodecaborate clusters are in a square-planar coordination mode to the d 8 -transition metal centers. The tin polyborate ligand is nucleophilic enough to displace the cyclo-octadiene ligand in the complexes (I).
