Abstract:We will consider a generalization E(x) of the continuum Gaussian bell e -x2/2 on a time scale I". A crucial question is whether this Gaussian bell is square integrable on the corresponding time scale. We will see that this is not the case in general. We establish sufficient and necessary conditions for the time scale T to satisfy E 6 L2('Y). (~)
Abstract. We obtain an analogue of the Hille-Wintner comparison theorem for the nonoscillation of second-order linear dynamic equations on time scales. Several examples are given including applications to difference equations.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
