Spray forming and mechanical properties of a new type powder metallurgy superalloy

Abstract: The deposited billet of a new type powder metallurgy (PM) superalloy FGH4095M for use in turbine disk manufacturing has been fabricated using spray forming technology. The metallurgical quality of the deposited billet was analyzed in terms of density, texture, and grain size. Comparative research was done on the microstructure and mechanical properties between the flat disk preform prepared with hot isostatic pressing (HIP) and the same alloy forgings prepared with HIP followed by isothermal forging (IF). The … Show more

“…Time delay, channel blocking, and pacemaker driving are considered when the synchronization problem and stability in neurons are explored [14]. Furthermore, synchronization control for network becomes challengeable due to its potential application to preventing neuronal disease and multi-agent dynamics, Zhou et al [14,15] presented an analysis procedure for the controlled synchronization distributed coordinated control of the networked robotic systems formulated by Lagrange dynamics. For a practical way, pinning and impulsive control could effectively tame and stabilize the collective behaviors of network [15].…”

“…However, PM superalloys suffer microstructural limitations in the form of powder-particle boundaries (PPB), thermally introduced porosity (TIP), inclusions and other defects, introduced by the its rather unique processing requirements. [1][2][3][4][5] As a state of the art, the problems of PPB and TIP have been significantly improved, however the occurrence of inclusions still remains a challenge. [6] The mechanical properties of the PM superalloys, especially the low cycle fatigue life (LCF), can be considerably affected by the inclusions.…”
